8 October 1964 – 4 November 2022
It is with profound sadness the family of Brian Campbell announces his passing at his residence at the age of 58 years on Friday, November 4, 2022, after a lengthy illness.
He leaves behind his adoring daughter Samantha Campbell of Ottawa and his loving brother David Campbell of Toronto. Predeceased by his mom Marilyn (nee Johnston) in 2017 and his dad Desmond in 2000.
Brian was a graduate of St. Charles College and Cambrian College. Brian loved the outdoors. He felt at home on his snowmobile especially traveling at warp speed or sitting patiently in a boat for that big bass or pickerel to bite. In his youth he spent many summers at Onaping Lake and Grundy Lake Provincial Park with family and friends. Brian lived in Vancouver for a time where he enjoyed the West Coast air and the serenity of the surrounding Rockies. Brian returned to Northern Ontario for the remainder of his life. He had a hankering for sour gummy bears as they had a low survival rate if they were within striking distance.
Even though his daughter was in different cities pursuing her career, he always had her in his thoughts and loved her dearly. He was so proud of her and her accomplishments that he would tell anyone and everybody.
Special thanks to Dave Guenette for his assistance over the last few years. Thank you to Diane, Tammi, Rob, Roger, Dan and all the others for their support and patience throughout the years.
Interment will occur in the family plot at the Capreol Cemetery in the Spring of 2023.
Donations in Brian’s memory can be made to a local animal shelter of your choice or the Alzheimer Society Sudbury-Manitoulin North Bay & Districts.
Rest in Peace Brian – you have joined Des & Marilyn and my Mom. My parents and yours were all best friends back in the day – still have the pictures of the various trips they took! Farewell

We are so sorry to hear about the passing of our cousin Brian. We first met Brian when he moved and worked in BC. We remember him as a lovely, soft-spoken gentleman. Deepest sympathies to family and friends. Rest In Peace.

My sincere and heartfelt condolences to Dave, Samantha and all who loved Brian. He was a very good friend of my brother, John Budzak, who was the same age as Brian (born 1964) and who sadly passed away in Sep 2019. We lived just down the street and Brian was at our house (143 Claudia Court) quite often during their formative years. I have so many memories of Brian and David. In recent years, Brian was so kind and caring about John’s condition, health and happiness. He messaged me often to check up on him all the while he himself was suffering…unbeknownst to me. Such very sad news.
Rest In Peaceful Slumber, Brian.

I am sad to read about Brian’s passing. I worked with him for many years at Stong’s Market in Vancouver. We were a tight knit family of grocery store employees and had so many laughs at work. I will cherish those memories even more now that he is gone.
