Lécuyer, Maurice (Beaver)

In loving memory of Maurice Lécuyer, 90 years who passed away peacefully with his family by his side at the Maison Vale Hospice on Saturday, April 11, 2015. Beloved husband of Jacqueline Lécuyer (nee Pilon). Loving father of Diane Lécuyer (Rheal), Yvonne Roy (Gilbert), Denis (predeceased), Thérèse Hayes (Henry), Pauline Ruest (Henri), Rheal Rochon (Pauline), Claude Rochon (Mona) and Guy Rochon (Kathleen). Cherished grandfather of 16 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchilden. Dear son of the late Joseph and Valéda (Madore) Lécuyer. Dear brother of Fernand (Laurette) Lécuyer (both predeceased), Marguerite (John) Hunt (both predeceased), Jacqueline (Alcide) Lanouette, Jeanne D’Arc (Valère) Boulet (both predeceased), Thérèse Landry (Leo) (both predeceased), Cécile McDaid (Jim), Yollande Jobin (Lucien), Yvon Lécuyer (Thérèse), Lucille Krantz (John), Leo and Donald Lécuyer (both predeceased). Sadly missed by many nieces and nephews and friends. Born in North Bay, Maurice worked for Falconbridge and Hollinger Mines (Timmins) for a combined 36 years of service as a Driller and Stope Boss retiring in 1982. He appreciated life and all that it had to offer especially fishing on Birch Lake and together with Jacqueline spending the winter months in Arizona. As someone who loved to travel and on many occasions have driven from coast to coast visiting family and friends. He will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him. In keeping with Maurice’s wishes there will be no visitation or services. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at St-Jean-de-Brébeuf Church, 26 Kathleen St., Sudbury on Friday, April 17, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to Maison Vale Hospice or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated. Arrangements entrusted to Ranger’s Cremation and Burial Services Ltd.

  2. Pépère, you were an adorable man. Sweet and good natured, with a good sense of humor. Thank you for teaching me how to fish!! I have wonderful memories of our times at camp, and many other wonderful times as well, I will miss you! I love you! ‘Til we meet again. Rest in peace.
