The family announces with great sorrow his passing at Extendicare York, Sudbury on Wednesday, January 13th, 2016 at the age of 65. Born in Matachewan, he was the son of the late Raymond and Ida (Harvey) Allaire. Beloved brother of Carm (Lorraine) Allaire, Lynne (Pat) Downey, Claudette (Maurice) Goulard (both predeceased), Diane (Terry) Sullivan and Jean-Guy (Sue) Allaire. Cherished uncle of Anne (Ken) Allaire-Gauthier, Victoria (Enzo) Dozzi, Richard (Tasha Ayles) Allaire, Chantal (Chris) Corcoran, Dennis (Kim) Downey, Trisha Collins (Everett Ravestein), Lynn Goulard, Natalie (Trevor) Jonasson, Allan (Julie) Sullivan, Danny Sullivan, Amanda (Guy) Lafleur, Lee (Adrienne) Allaire, Jason (Elise) Allaire and Guy (Melissa) Allaire. Barney held several positions in the mining industry with Falconbridge from 1974 through to 2001.
