In Loving Memory of Stuart Cecil Comba, who passed away peacefully at the age of 77 with his loving family by his side, at Health Sciences North, on February 11, 2016. Born on April 4, 1938 to the late Cecil and Eva (Levesque) Comba. Loving father of Rhonda (David Lavallee). Cherished grandfather to Zack, Shane, Spencer and Makenna. Beloved brother of Glenn (Cathy predeceased), Gail Candusso (Bruno) and Lynn Cecchetto (Tony) all of Sudbury. He will be missed by many nephews, nieces, cousins and friends. Stuart served in the Royal Canadian Navy as an Able Seaman Signalman on the Bonaventure for 3 years and won many awards. He then went on to work for Inco Ltd. where he retired. Upon retirement he enjoyed golfing and worked at Stonehill Golf Course where he got to enjoy the best of both worlds. As an avid outdoorsman, Stuart loved hunting and fishing as well. The family would like to thank the physicians, nurses and all hospital staff for their kindness and caring throughout this difficult time. A memorial mass will be held on Monday, February 22nd, 2016 at 10:30 a.m at Our Lady of Hope Church, 591 Brennan Rd, Sudbury, ON P3C 5L6. Donations can be made to the Princess Margaret Lodge.
Stu, I looked forward to every November when we were able to spend some time at the hunt camp together. Your food always delicious, your anecdotes funny, your stories timeless and your kindness to me everlasting. Dear Stuart, you saddened me with your passing but I know you had to let go and now it is very hard to believe you are gone but am relieved to know you are free of your pain and suffering.
