Forever Loved, Forever in our Hearts
Geraldine "Gerry" Lee
January 7, 1925 - June 3, 2016
Our Mom was a loving and compassionate woman. The twinkle in her eye and the beauty of her soul made those who knew her, love her. Her family and friends will miss her sharp wit, sense of humor and unconditional love. Devoted daughter of Adam and Alice Sweezey (both predeceased). Loving wife of Joseph "Mickey" Lee (predeceased). Cherished mother of Dixie Mckenny (Ralph), Michael Lee (Sharon) and Sherry Lee (fiance David "Mark" Shane). Treasured Grandmother of M.J. (Sara), Jason (Amy), Tara (Rob), Michael (Courtney), Meghan (Jamie) and Patrick. Great "Gramma Gerry" to Dylan, Gracie, Dee Jay, Trevor, Tyler and Kayla. Much loved sister of Gilmour Sweezey (Grace), Vernon Nepitt (Alex Sr.), Norma Auger (Harvey Sr.) (all predeceased), Doris McLeish (Alex predeceased), Donald Sweezey (Katherine predeceased) and Ronald Sweezey (predeceased) (Joyce). Dear sister-in-law of Jack Lee (Rita) (both predeceased), Colleen Dimmel (Charles) (both predeceased) and David Lee (predeceased) (Ann). Gerry will be greatly missed by many nieces and nephews and especially by her loving niece and caregiver Charlotte and special niece Barbara. She will be fondly remembered by special friends Angel, Allan and Yvonne, and by her paramedic friends Claude and Chris. At Gerry's request there will be no visitation. A Memorial Mass will be held in honor of Gerry's life on Friday June 10th, 2016 at 1 p.m. at St. Alban the Martyr Anglican Church, 36 Dennis St., Capreol, ON, with interment at the Capreol Cemetery to follow. Gerry was a devoted parishioner who loved her church dearly. Donations to St. Albans Church in lieu of flowers would be appreciated.
"Mom, we know that the club is together again. Just like old times, we can hear the laughter and we know that you're enjoying a game of rummoli with Auntie Colleen, Joan, Reta, Elsie, Muriel and Norma". "We love you Mom".
So sorry to hear of your loss of Gerry : Ron

To the Lee family my deepest condolences. Gerry was the prettiest lady in town – I used to look at her with awe when I was a little girl. May you find comfort in the wonderful memories you share.

Dear Dixie, Michael and Sherri: My memory bank is so full of Gerry. From when we were all “kids” of the “hen club” to the final years when she was such a friend to my Mom, Reta, on Coulson Court. I was always feeling secure because Gerry was watching over my Mom. We were so lucky to be part of that generation, growing up in Capreol and having these wonderful women looking after us: my aunts Muriel and Elsie and the extended “family”: Gerry, Colleen, Joan and Norma. My thoughts and prayers are with you. I know how hard it is to lose your Mom. When I heard that Gerry had passed, the first thing I thought of was discussing this with my Mom! I hope that your happy memories will sustain you in years to come and that you will pass on all these happy memories to your children and grandchildren! Love you.
