It’s with broken hearts, that we announce the passing of our 91 year old dad on Saturday, June 19, 2021, at the Elizabeth Centre with his daughter, Paulette by his side. We will surely miss his smile and sense of humour. He will be joining his wife, Rita (née Coutu) and the many relatives in heaven for some good times playing cards. His lifelong passion was gardening which he continued in a big designer planter, and we wouldn’t be surprised if God finds him a little patch in Heaven to keep growing his vegetables and flowers. Love you dad xo. Cherished father of Diane Boulais (Marcel), Bob Ethier (Gwen), Paulette Boyd (Glenn Vallance), Yvonne Rainville (Léo) and Joanne Tarzwell (Léo Dallaire). Beloved grandfather to Brigitte Kunig (Peter), Josée Rinaldi (Lee), Mélanie Martin (Jacques), Ron Ethier (Lisa), Jacqueline Ayoub (Charlie), Mike Ethier (Deanne), Kary-Ann Boyd, Shawn Boyd (Sylvie), Chad Boyd (Ryan), Chuck Rainville, Tom Rainville (Adrienne), Julie-Anne Rainville (Shawn Bodson) and 22 great-grand children. Dear brother to his living sister, Bernadette Piette (Raymond-predeceased) and Germaine Ouellette (Victor), Sr Simone, Lucien (Jacqueline), Lionel, Jean (Yvette) all predeceased. Due to Covid-19 protocols, there will be no visitations or funeral. Interment will be at the Verner Cemetery in the Ethier family plot.
