Chevrier, Jacqueline (née Castonguay)

A very beautiful, caring, compassionate, accepting, and vibrant woman 'avec le joie de vivre' passed away on Monday, June 27, 2016. Before Alzeimer's took over her life, she often told me - when I die, always remember I had a good life. That very special woman was Jacqueline Chevrier, mother to Pauline, 'grand-mère' to Josée, Manon, Colin and all their friends. Also great-grandmother to Fabina, Abèni, Ashley and Blythe. She is survived by her brother Réjean (Yvonne) Castonguay and sister Estelle Coulombe. With her unwavering faith, she is being greeted in heaven by her husband Lionel, her parents Albertine and Eugene Castonguay, her siblings Huguette, Lucille, Yvon, Gaëtan and Jacques. Jackie was a dear and gentle soul, loved by all, close friends, extended family, and la Famille Castonguay and Chevrier. With boundless joy; infinite wisdom; wonderful kindness; free spiritedness; endless devotion, love and forgiveness, she was and will continue to be a matriarch to our family for generations to come. "Ce n'ait qu'un au revoir." Elle est en paix et nous sommes bénis avec la valeur de vivre un jour à la fois. As per her wishes, the burial ceremony with prayers will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, July 2nd at St. Joseph’s Cemetery, 4533 Municipal Road 15, Chelmsford, Ontario. Followed by a Celebration of Life, with food, family, friends and music in her memory to be held at 3481 Errington Avenue North, Chelmsford, Ontario, from 1 p.m. till evening. There are no words that can describe the appreciation for all the dedicated staff at St. Gabriel Villa. A huge thank you and ‘merci mille fois’ to the caring family of St. Gabriel Villa’s, Vermillion Wing, who extended their immeasurable love, care and support.
