Maurice, Alain

We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of our father Alain Maurice (75 years of age) born on May 12th, 1946, in Rouyn Noranda.  Loving husband to Rachelle of 17 years. Loving father to Debbie-Anne (Germain), Roland (Joanne), Marcel (Véronique) and Stéphane (Jessica).  Loving stepfather to Charlie (Nancy), Belinda (John), Rachel and Jason (predeceased).  Loving grandfather to Christine, Dominique, Mia, Eva, Brody, Mikelle, Anthony, Johnny, Bethany, Logan, Max, and Matthew.  Alain will be most remembered for his honesty, his fun-loving nature, his Dad jokes, his love for animals, bowling, golfing and most importantly as a kind-hearted soul. He was also a dedicated Sudbury Transit bus driver from 1973-2010.  Special thanks to Dr. Fredette and Angie, Dr. Nistico, Health professionals of the University of Ottawa Heart Institute, Dr. Lafleur and the nurses from HSN "Angels in disguise"...Jen, Julie, Kayla, Michelle, Rob, Stephanie, and Tristan. Special thanks to Cara, Karen, and all the amazing staff at the Alzheimer's Society Day Program.  We are all blessed that Dad had a second chance at life as he was a heart transplant recipient in 2011.
