Geryk, Nicholas “Nick”

It is with deep sadness that the Geryk family announces the passing of a beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend.

Following a long illness, Nick passed away peacefully surrounded by family on July 19th, 2022, at the age of 85yrs. Beloved husband of the late Colette Geryk (2006). Loving father of Debbie Horne (Grant Fleury and William predeceased) of Sudbury, Karen Sartor (Jimmy predeceased) of Coniston, Nancy Geryk (John McLeod) of Wahnapitae, Micheal (Laura) of Garson and Tammy of Coniston.  He will be greatly missed by his grandchildren Greg, Gareth, Matthew, Kari, Jessica, Kevin, Lisa, Jennifer, Andrew and Kailey and his great-grandchildren Caden, Kenzie, Callie, Brayden, Colton, Emmalie, William, Kyla, Kendyll, Kylie, Blake, Audrey and Lucas. Dear brother of Mary Mets (Arnold predeceased) and John (predeceased). Sadly, missed by many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. A long-time resident of Garson. Many will remember Nick from his daily walks around the neighbourhood and to the cemetery to visit Colette.  Nick loved fishing, gardening, sports, and spending time with family.  

As per Nick’s wishes, there will be no visitation or service. A private family gathering will be held at a later date and Nick will be laid to rest with his wife Colette.
