(1943-2022)
It is with great sorrow that the family announces his passing at home, on July 28, 2022, at the age of 79. Devoted husband of the late Leila Jean Atamaniuk (nee Baxter). Lovingly remembered by his daughters Crystal Noel (Dwayne) and Tracy Moggy (Steve). He was a proud grandfather to Landon (Katie), Taylor, Wren, Brianna and Jack. Missed dearly by his grand-puppies Kali and Pepper.
Paul was born in White River, Ontario on June 30, 1943. His parents were the late Anne and Paul Atamaniuk who immigrated to Canada from Poland and Ukraine in the 1920’s. He had one older brother Peter (predeceased in 1969).
Paul worked at INCO for 34 years before retiring as a Millwright in 1999. He enjoyed curling, fishing and watching many local hockey teams play. His favourite past-time was spending time with his grandchildren and watching them play and celebrate all of their passions. As a loyal spectator, he could be found traveling to different cities and provinces, to watch his grandchildren play or perform. At Paul’s request, there will be no visitation or service. Expressions of sympathy and donations can be made on his behalf to any charity supporting displaced Ukrainian citizens.
Tracy and Crystal,
I am so sorry to hear of your loss. What can I say about “Dad”. The best softball fan I ever knew and a pretty great dad. The grandchildren are lucky to have had the time to spend with him at all the sporting events. He was always so supportive. My heart goes out to the family. He will always hold a special place in my heart.
