March 24, 1946 – November 13, 2022
In loving memory of Karen Lynn Krenrick who passed away, Sunday, November 13, 2022, at Maison McCulloch Hospice at the age of 76 years.
Beloved mother of Bryan (Cindy) Gerhart and Eric (Jamila) Gerhart. Loved dearly by her granddaughter Addison Gerhart who referred to her as “Aba”. Loving daughter of Robert and Marjorie Krenrick (both predeceased). Sister to Barbara (John) Cominsky, David (Susan) Krenrick, Ann (Larry) Hulver and Mary (Jon) Mould. She will be missed by many nieces and nephews.
Karen was born on March 24, 1946, in Akron, Ohio. After completion of her studies, she moved to Canada to begin a new adventure in Northern Ontario. She taught at Cambrian College for many years in the Upgrading Program and the English Department. She loved spending time with her family and staying active with her granddaughter. Karen was inquisitive, articulate, and enjoyed good conversation and never stopped having a love of learning. She will be sorely missed by all who knew her.
Special thanks to the caring staff at Westmount Retirement Residence, Health Sciences North and Maison McCulloch Hospice.
There will be no services or visitation at this time. Any donations to the Maison McCulloch Hospice would be greatly appreciated.
I’m so sorry to learn of the loss of your mother and Aba. Karen was a dear friend. May your memories of wonderful family times give you strength.

I am so sorry to learn of Karen’s death. My deep condolences to her beloved boys and their families. What a joy it was to be with Karen, to hear her laugh, to experience her curiosity for life, and to work with her as a Cambrian “sister.” She was a remarkable woman with great courage, intelligence, and kindness whom I will never forget. Rest In Peace, dear Karen.
