Jean passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday, October 9th, 2016 at age 81. Daughter of the late Edward and Delia Tyson. Loving wife of the late Roque Bateman. Loving mother of Margaret (Dan) predeceased, Thomas predeceased, and Anna Marie of Mindemoya. Dear sister of Shirley of Killarney, Helena of Edmonton, and the late Edward, Adolph, Lawrence, Orville, Fredrick, Connie, Leona, Agatha, Adelaide, Cecillia, and Marie (Jim Gamble of Owen Sound). Sadly, missed by her grandson, step-grandchildren, as well as many nieces and nephews. Born in Killarney, she lived here all her life. She was very active in the Catholic Women’s League, the Killarney Health Centre Auxilliary, and the Ladies Auxiliary to the Royal Canadian Legion. She was also a devoted member of St. Bonaventure Parish. Celebration of Life and Visitation at St. Bonaventure Church in Killarney on Friday October 21st at 10:30am, followed by mass at 12:30pm. Interment in St Bonaventure Cemetery to follow. Donations to the Women’s League of St. Bonaventure Church or the Killarney Health Centre would be greatly appreciated.
