It is with heavy hearts that the family announces the peaceful passing of Gertrud Bergbauer (née Grytz) on December 20, 2022, at Pioneer Manor at the extraordinary age of 102. Loving mother of Eydie Dobson (Stanley, deceased) and Rainer Bartsch (Karen). Cherished grandmother of David Dobson (Monica, deceased), Brent Dobson deceased (Lee-Anne), Bruce (Era) and Bryan (Joanna). Great grandmother of Erin, Erica (Jeff), Brenna, Owen, and Ethan. Great great-grandmother of Quentin, Amelia, and Bryson. Gertrud was our “Mutti”, a multi faceted woman of tremendous strength and determination. Her family, gardening and handwork were her passions. We want to extend our heartfelt gratitude to all the staff in the Lilac/Mallard area of Pioneer Manor for the exceptional care they gave to Gertrud over the past seven years. We could not have asked for more. A private Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
