In Loving Memory of Gregory Maskwa, aged 69. He passed peacefully on Tuesday, Jan. 17, 2023, at Maison McCulloch Hospice with loving family at his side.
Dear brother of Brian (Pauline), Morley (Pauline Fay), Douglas (Diane) and Linda (Les Soule). Gregory will be sadly missed by Cheryl Parsons (Roger) and Darwin Haluschak. Cherished uncle to Andy Wright, Jennifer Sharkey, Lianne Fay, Andre Mallette, Mirielle Chaput, Alan Snobl, Jonathan Snobl, Olivia Snobl and many great nieces and nephews. Beloved son of John and Elva (nee Walford) Maskwa, both predeceased. Greg is also missed by special friends Jeff, Patrick, Colleen, Meagan, Chris Crow and Mary K.
Greg was a true artist who loved depicting his life using his craft. Some would say even more so, he loved speaking about his experiences in person — painting you a true visual of his experiences by his spoken word. Whether it was on a canvas or in person, Greg shared about all of the experiences he went through, both good and bad. He didn’t shy away from or regret any aspect of his life.
“All goes onward and outward, nothing collapses, and to die is different from what any one supposed, and luckier.” ― Walt Whitman
The family would like to thank the many doctors, nurses and caregivers who helped Greg, and they would like to extend heartfelt gratitude to the staff and volunteers at the Maison McCulloch Hospice.
A Celebration of Life to honor Greg will take place at a later date.
Donations to Maison McCulloch Hospice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
Greg was a gentle, kind soul. He had great stories which he shared generously. May he rest in peace and paint without pain to his heart’s content.
My sincere condolences
