In loving memory of the Rolande Barsalou (Grandmaison), who passed away peacefully with her loving family by her side on Wednesday, November 9, 2016 at Pioneer Manor. Born in Sudbury, ON to the late Charles and Azilda Grandmaison (Paquette). Wife of the late Jean Marie Barsalou. Loving mother of Lise and Yves Barsalou (Hilma). Cherished grandmother of Chantal Lively (Ben), Mélanie Spadafore, Daniel Spadafore (Renée), Marise Barsalou, Patrick Barsalou, Lyzanne Barsalou, Justin Barsalou and Brittany Barsalou. Doting great grandmother of Thalia, Rowan, Brielle, Georgia and Graham. Beloved sister of René Grandmaison (Gisèle), Marcel Grandmaison (late Gaetanne), Richard Grandmaison (Diane) and the late Jeanette Marcotte (Ron). Rolande was a gentle soul that touched many people that crossed her path. A special thank you to Dr. St Martin, the nurses and staff of Pioneer Manor (Park Place) for their patience and great care they provided our mother and our family. A Memorial Mass will be held on Friday, November 18, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Jean de Brébeuf Church, 26 Kathleen St., Sudbury, followed by a Celebration of Life in the church hall. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made directly to the Alzheimer’s Society.
