In Loving Memory of James Harry Blain, 79 years who passed away with his family by his side on Thursday, November 17, 2016 at Health Sciences North. Beloved father of James (Kim), Sandy, Arthur (Lori), Heather (James) Castonguay. Cherished grandfather of Samantha, Alyssa, Jason, Mariah and MacKenzie. Born in Englehart, ON, he was the son of the late Harry and Vera (Coles) Blain. Loving brother of Reg (Pat), Pat (Bruce) Baker, Gail Gibbons, Terry (predeceased) (Sue). He will be sadly missed by many nieces and nephews. Jim began his career as an HVAC technician in the early ‘70’s and went on to own his own company, “Jim’s Burner Services”. He furthered his career as an Oil Burner Gas Technician with Consumers Gas in Barrie, ON and taught at Georgian College in his area of expertise. Jim loved to fish in his younger days and was an avid outdoorsman who as a “true northerner”, appreciated nature. He had a true love and fondness for his dogs which were an important part of his life. In keeping with his wishes, there will be no visitation. A Celebration of Jim’s life will be held at a later date.
