In Loving Memory of Richard Loiselle “Rick”, 77 years passed away peacefully Wednesday, August 2, 2023 at Pioneer Manor.
Predeceased by his parents Lucille Loiselle (née St. Pierre) and Omer Loiselle both of Sudbury.
Loving father of Raquel Salo (Darryl) of Sudbury. Cherished grandfather to Ashton and Leah. Beloved brother of Angèle Poulton (née Loiselle), uncle to Todd Conrad (Jane) and great uncle to Taryn. He will be sadly missed by Cindy, Joey, Lisette and extended family and friends.
Rick was born and raised in Sudbury, Ontario. He was a man of many talents and interests. His parents owned and operated the first two Tim Horton’s in Sudbury from 1972-1976 where he worked as a baker and enjoyed boasting about making the best apple fritters in town. Rick was a barber for many years and finished his career as a car salesman.
Rick loved music and would fondly reminisce about his time playing the guitar with the Phantoms. In his younger years he could be seen jiving at many local establishments. Those who knew Rick, knew his affection for Elvis Presley, and old ‘Rock and Roll’. He loved telling stories and jokes and was the life of any gathering.
Rick’s family would like to sincerely thank the staff at Pioneer Manor for the excellent care and compassion he received during his last years of life. At Rick’s request there will be no visitation. A private Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
Sincere condolences to Angele and family. We lost touch with you the last few years but I have many fond memories of growing up in the north end and special gatherings on weekends and holidays.
Rest in peace cousin.
