In Loving Memory of Daniel René Desfossés, who passed away peacefully on October 2nd, 2023 at Health Sciences North at the age of 75, surrounded by his loving sons Patrick & Marc.
Dan was born in Trois-Rivières, Québec and moved to Sudbury in 1967. Then met the love of his life in 1968. Predeceased by his loving wife Monique Desfossés (née Bélanger) of 25 years. Son of late Onil Desfossés and late Adrienne Desfossés (née Gaouette). Dan will be sadly missed by his sons Patrick Desfossés and Marc (Stephanie) Desfossés. Cherished grandfather to Desiree and Mac Desfossés. Brother of Germain (Aline predeceased), Robert (Ginette predeceased), Clément predeceased (Raymonde), Michelle, Jocelyne (Jean-Claude predeceased), Marie Alynn (Marcel), France (Dénis), Denis predeceased, Lise predeceased, Odette predeceased. Dan will be missed by many nieces and nephews.
In his spare time, he enjoyed the outdoors and spending time up in Onaping Lake, Westree and Ruel. Dan also enjoyed spending time puttering around in his garage.
A Celebration of Life will take place for friends and family, at the Northern Water Sports Centre on Monday, October 23rd, 2023 from 2-7pm. In lieu of flowers donations can be made directly to the Heart and Stroke foundation https://www.heartandstroke.ca.
To Marc, Patrick and family, I would like to extend my sincerest condolences to you. I have fond memories of spending time with you, Monique and Dan.
He will be sadly missed.
