Passed away at the Espanola Regional Hospital with family by his side on Friday, December 1, 2023 at the age of 79 years. Beloved son of Toini and Arthur Nelson (predeceased), brother of Linda Smith (predeceased), Bonnie Laframboise (Terry) of Panache Lake. Special uncle to niece Tina Squire of Rocky Mountain House, AB, nephews Adam Laframboise (predeceased), and AJ (Aaron) Laframboise (Sherri) of Lively.
Randy in his younger years, was an avid auto body repairman who painted many vehicles for friends and family in his garage in Beaver Lake. Restoring cars to a previous glory was a passion of his.
Sincere thanks to Sandra Henderson and her son Chris who looked out for their neighbour ‘Uncle Randy “as well as good friend Doug Wyszynski and his wife for checking on him and bringing him home cooked meals which he enjoyed. Also, thanks to long-time friend Kevin Holly for their weekly trips to Wendys.
Thanks to Dr. Bignucolo and Dr. Mahoney as well as the acute care nursing staff at the Espanola Regional Hospital for their excellent care, kind words and keeping Randy so comfortable in his final days.
As per Randy’s request, there will be no visitation or services. Scattering of his cremains by family will take place at a later date.
