March 27th 1940 – June 2nd 2024
The family of Shurley Armstrong of Naughton is saddened to announce her passing on Sunday, June 2nd 2024. Our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt and friend will forever hold a place in our hearts.
Shurley was born and raised in Otter Lake Ontario. She is predeceased by her parents Charles and Clara Hamilton and her younger brother Charlie. Survived by sister Marion (Laurie, predeceased). She had beautiful memories of her life growing up and shared them with her children and grandchildren.
Shurley will be lovingly remembered by her husband Floyd of 60 years; children: Greg (Laurie) and Kirk (Kelly); grandchildren, Bryan (Cassandra), Jeffrey, Erin, Emily, and John; great grandchildren Simon and Audrey; as well as numerous relatives and friends.
Shurley had a gift for nurturing those who were blessed to know her. Helping others grow through her loving gentle support, always ready to listen and share her thoughts and wisdom.
She had many enjoyable years camping on Manitoulin Island with family and friends. Staying active bowling, playing golf with friends and caring for her plants and flowers in her yard were a part of her passions in life. Her beautiful paintings hang in our homes as a memory of her talent and patience.
Loved beyond words and missed beyond measure, Shurley’s passing has left a hole in our hearts and our lives.
A Celebration of Life will be announced at a future time.
