We sadly announce the passing of our mother, Joyce McCoshen on June 26, 2024 at Health Sciences North. Born September 16, 1942 to the late Efrum and Marie Louise Aubrey (née Hamilton). Mother of John McCoshen (predeceased), Angela McCoshen, Sheila McCoshen, Dawn McCoshen and Devland McCoshen. Grandmother to Americe McCoshen (predeceased), Tyrone McCoshen, Sherice McCoshen and Christie McCoshen. Great grandmother to Kadence and Karter McCoshen. Will be missed by many relatives and friends. Joyce loved to go camping and fishing. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donation made directly to the Cancer Society https://cancer.ca/en/ would be appreciated.
My deepest condolences to you, Angela, Sheila, Dawn and Devland, To all your family and friends so sorry for your loss. Looking at your photo of your Mom, she looks exactly how I remember her. I use to babysit you kids when I was a teenager and lived on Louis St. It brings fond memories of Joyce and my MOM, Diane Godin, who were best friends. They use to sit at our kitchen table together drinking coffee and conversation for hours and pretty much every day.
I remember the two of them making halloween costumes and going out dancing. I can see them and hear them now remembering their laugher and joie de vivre.
I have lived out west since 1977, and when I came home for visits there they were also with my Aunt Lorraine and still sitting having coffee together. I hope that your memories are as vivid and joyful as mine and remembering the fun they had.

My deepest condolences to all who were fortunate enough to have Joyce in their lives. She was a unique, kind and spunky soul that loved all nature and animals had to offer….. I will keep my treasured memories of her close to my heart until we meet agian.
