  3. Claudette, my first and most vivid memory of you was your visit to North Bay shortly after being crowned Miss Sudbury (1964?). My mom, Pauline, was so excited to see you, as you were always a favourite niece. You were royalty and I remember how beautiful you were.
Much time past before we connected again as you past through Toronto on your way to visit your son, David. I appreciated those times, the reminiscing and catching up.
I was sad to hear from Rolly about your failing health. It was hard for me to imagine as you were always so vital. Which is how I will always remember you. Much love, Joël

  5. I didn’t just lose my aunt but both the Corbeil and Haddad families lost the pillar, the matriarch of our family. She was an extremely strong, tenacious and intelligent woman. Aunt Co was a force to be reckoned with and I learned a lot from her. She taught me to advocate for myself and never give up fighting now matter how hard it gets. She fought hard right until the end even surprising doctors. Every birthday she would make us a banana cake and hide quarters – how none of us chocked is surprising. Today, I made her special cake in her memory. My heartfelt condolences to my Haddad and Corbeil families. She is at peace now with Uncle Fred. Sending my family much love, strength and comfort in the days, weeks and months ahead.

  7. Sending condolences to Claudette’s family. I got to know her when she was an important member of my son’s political campaign for Mayor in 2004. She was a hard worker and so reliable, we could always count on her no matter what. We loved her quiet ways and friendly manner and her support was invaluable. May she rest in peace.
