It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Jean-Guy Rémillard who left us on Monday, July 29, 2024 at the age of 78. Born on July 15th, 1946 in Field, Ontario, he was a remarkable man known for his unwavering kindness, wisdom, and love for his family. Jean-Guy dedicated his life to his family where he made a lasting impact on those around him. His friends and family cherished his infectious laughter and warm spirit. As a father, he was our guiding light, always encouraging us to pursue our dreams and instilling in us the values of integrity and compassion. He loved nothing more than spending time with his family, whether it was sharing stories around the dinner table, enjoying weekend adventures, or visiting and music. He leaves behind his beloved wife Evelyne Rémillard (née Simon) his devoted daughters and their loving partners Monique Scott(Randy Scott), Lynn Rémillard Scott (Jack Scott), Joycelyne Rémillard, Bernadette Rémillard (Derek Garand ). His grandchildren Daniel Scott, Angéle Scott, Candice Scott, Callie Scott, Taylor Garand and Cadence Garand will forever treasure the memories of his love and guidance. His surviving siblings who he loved very much are Réjean Rémillard (Huguette) Robert Rémillard (Johanne) and Louis Rémillard (Louise). He also leaves behind many nieces and nephews and other family members that he loved and cherished. He is predeceased by his parents Lucien Rémillard and Lucille Rémillard (née Larcher, husband Omer), his son Lucien Rémillard, his grandson William Garand and his siblings Richard Rémillard (Ginette), Marcel Rémillard (Cathy), Denis Rémillard (Martina),Gerry Rémillard (Barbara), Bernadette Rocheleau (Jean-Guy “P’ti Guy) and Jocelyne Rémillard.
As per Jean-Guy’s request, no funeral or memorial services will be held. Family and friends are invited to Celebrate his Life and the lasting mark he has left on all of us by spending time with family and playing music and play it loud. Though he may be gone, the love and lessons he shared will continue to resonate in our hearts.
Rest in Peace, dear Dad; you will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
