We announce with great sadness the unexpected passing of Pamela Fairburn, 60 years at home on Tuesday, October 17, 2017. Beloved wife of Michel Cousineau. Much loved sister of James Fairburn. Predeceased by her parents Gordon Fairburn and Carol Hobbs (nee Mervyn). Cherished niece of Stanley and Gene Dutchburn (both predeceased) who were like parents to her. Dear cousin of Randy Dutchburn (Monika), and their children Ryann, Kevin and Merrilee Grove (David), and their children Matthew and Jonathon Grove. Survived by her sister-in-law Suzanne Racine and her children Josee, Julie (Jeff) and Tammy (Jason) and many great nieces and nephews. Pamela will be dearly missed by her four-legged friend Hunter. She retired from Cambrian College with over 36 years of dedicated service and 6 years with Day Construction. A self-confessed sports fanatic who could be found on a ski-hill, in the middle of a slow pitch game, bowling, golfing or even trying her hand at hockey. She will be truly missed but never forgotten by all who knew her especially her team mates. She appreciated the outdoors whether camping or fishing with her husband but also enjoyed painting. Pamela will be remembered for her willingness to always lend a helping hand, her loyalty and dependability. She was a very positive role model in life, “happy-go-lucky” and could always be found with a smile on her face. In keeping with Pamela’s wishes there will be no visitation. A Celebration of Pamela’s Life will be held in the coming weeks, please RSVP to the following email celebratepamfairburn@hotmail.com. In lieu of flowers, donation made directly to the Northeast Cancer Center would be appreciated by the family.
My sincerest condolences. I only had the privilege of working closely with Pam for a short time, but during that time, she had certainly left the impression of a kind and pleasant person. She will be missed.
