A sweet and gentle soul, Shirley Ashick, aged 72 years passed away at Pioneer Manor on Friday, April 19, 2019. Predeceased by her parents Weldon and Mary (nee Munroe) Ashick. Shirley will be sadly missed by her sisters Joan Ashick, and Sherry Ferlotte (Nelson), brother Sheldon (predeceased), nephews Jason (Rachel), Jonathon, Jeffrey, great niece Seanna and many aunts, uncles and cousins. Heartful thanks to the compassionate Caring Staff of the Trillium area at Pioneer Manor. In keeping with Shirley’s wishes a Memorial Service will be held at Grace United Church, 1520 Bancroft Dr. Sudbury on Saturday, May 4, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. Donations in her memory may be made directly to the Arthritis Society, Grace United Church or the Canadian Cancer Society.

So sorry to hear of Shirley’s passing. She was such a gentle soul. Family was always important to her. It always amazed us how she could remember family, cousins, and cousins children’s names!
