Peacefully passed away on Sunday, January 30, 2022, at Pioneer Manor at the age of 74 years. Predeceased by his parents Delphis and Marie Ann (nee Flynn) Bérubé. Predeceased by his wife Cheryl Anne. Dear brother of Micheline, Nicole, Clémence, Marc and their families. Predeceased by the following siblings Pat, John, Marie, Charles, Richard, Jeanne-D’Arc, Diane, Claudette, Geraldine, Gaetan and Patrick. Gilles will be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends. Gilles was especially close to his sister Micheline and her husband Sylvio who took care of him like one of their own children.
‘Uncle Gilles’ was a huge fan of the Montreal Canadiens; he enjoyed many hockey games. He also loved to play his guitar and sing, his passion for music really came through in his delightful songs. Gilles looked forward to his walk every day to Tim’s for his coffee. He had a great affection for dogs and loved everyone the family had.
Interment of ashes and a Celebration of Gilles Life will be held at a later date.
If desired, donations can be made in Gilles name directly to the Brain Injury Association Sudbury and District.
