Elizabeth “Betty” (Rumball) Bohm, 85 years, passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 22, 2016 at Pioneer Manor. Beloved wife of the late Wilbert “Will” Bohm. Born on April 2, 1931, in Sudbury, she was the daughter of the late John and Elizabeth (Hanrahan) Rumball. Loving sister of Linda Rumball, Anne Eles (Bud), Jack Rumball (Rita) both predeceased, Gayle McLelland (Bill – predeceased), Sister Peggy Rumball (predeceased), Gerry Rumball (Rosiland), Bill Rumball (Diane – predeceased), Chris Rumball (Suzanne), and June Rumball (predeceased). Betty leaves behind many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and cousins. Betty’s passion was nursing and dedicated her life to helping others. Another source of joy in her life were her feline friends. Betty was very involved in the Finnish community in Toronto, participating in many activities. Both Betty and Will enjoyed travelling and made many friends in Toronto, Thunder Bay and Sudbury areas. She was a gifted athlete who excelled in swimming, skiing, baseball and golfing, who was also blessed with a great sense of humour. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at St. Patrick’s Church, 39 Walford Road, Sudbury on Thursday, June 2, 2016 at 10 a.m. Donations to the Alzheimer Society would be gratefully appreciated.
We are so sorry for the loss of a dear friend. There are lots of fond memories of our time spent together at the St. Joseph’s School of Nursing class of 1953.
