Bouchard, Yvon

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our loving father, Yvon Bouchard, on Saturday, September 14th, 2024.

Predeceased by his devoted and loving wife, Carmen Bouchard (nee Lepine). He was the father of Steve (predeceased), Remi (Chrissy) of Elliot Lake, Gaston (Lisa) of Hanmer, and Celine (Eric) of Chelmsford. He was a loving pepere to Miguel, Adele and Benson. He was the son of the late Arthur & Marie-Jeanne Bouchard, and loving son-in-law to the late Gerard and Estelle Lepine.  Brother to Lise (Orville) (Don, predeceased), Rosaire (Claudette), Guy, Susanne, Jasmine, and Peter.  Brother-in-law to Jean-Guy (Francis), Lisette (Greg), Andre, Darquise, Sylvie, Yvon, Marc (Cathy), Paulette (Kevin), and Paul (Janice), as well an uncle to many nieces and nephews.

Dad was a long-standing member of the City of Elliot Lake.  He worked in all the mine sites for Rio Algom.  He took great pride in his career.  He had a passion for hunting, fishing, camping, karaoke, and was a faithful supporter of the local Tim Hortons. He was married to the love of his life, Carmen, for 39 years. He will be loved and missed dearly, but there is some comfort in knowing they are reunited for eternity.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made directly to the Heart and Stroke Foundation https://www.heartandstroke.ca/. A Funeral Mass will be held at Ste. Bernadette Church; 45 Spruce Ave. Elliot Lake on Thursday, September 26, 2024 at 1:00pm.

  3. Celine:
Sorry about the passing of your father. After talking to him last week I felt he had given up. He has been through so much this summer. Resting in God’s arm he has no more suffering.
Oh by the way, are you sending his brown recliner with him. He sure did like that chair.
