Boyd, Steve

Our father, Steve Boyd, passed away on Saturday, December 7th, 2024 at age 72 at the Elizabeth Centre in Val Caron. He was born April 25th, 1952 and lived all of his life in the Valley. Our dad will be dearly missed by family and friends. His family was his pride and joy. His greatest role in life was being a grandpa to his grandchildren. He showed unconditional love to his family and always made sure to say “I love you” more than twice. He was always a person you could count on and did not hesitate to help anyone in need. He will be sadly missed by his daughter Kary-Ann Boyd (partner Mike Anderson), his sons Shawn Boyd (wife Sylvie Labelle), Chad Boyd (partner Ryan Manzanilla), his grandchildren Chase Gour-Boyd, Kolt Gour-Boyd, Logan Boyd, Phoenix Boyd, and the mother of his children, Paulette Boyd. Dear son of Edward and Ruth (EmpiFinalla) Boyd both predeceased. Loving brother of Maureen St-Marseille (Paul predeceased), Ted Boyd (Helena), Betty Rainville (Hector predeceased), Tom Boyd (Linda), Pat Boyd (Trudy), Frank Boyd (Carmen), Vivian Boyd (John), John Boyd (Monique), Kathy Tremblay (Norm), Karen Boyd Fortier (Larry), and predeceased by Marie and Danny. Sadly missed by many nieces and nephews. Steve was a miner at INCO before retiring. The family would like to thank the staff of the Elizabeth Centre and Ranger’s for their care and compassion. A celebration of Steve’s life will be held after the holidays. Steve loved horses, and donations to the Manitoba Animal Alliance would be appreciated.

10 Condolences

  1. To Steve’s family,
Steve was a client at RBC in Val Caron where I worked years ago. One day he came in with a black eye. I asked him what happened, he said not to worry, the other guy hadn’t “f’n” landed yet. Then he laughed…still don’t know what happened!
My condolences to your family, he wil be sadly missed but lovingly remembered!
