Alan passed away peacefully Sunday, July 3, 2022, surrounded by his loving family.
Beloved husband of Christine (nee Henney) for 52 years. Loving dad to Sara Pidgen (Jason) and Daren Brownlee (Renée). Cherished grandfather to Amy, Julia, Robyn and Devin. Alan will be missed by his special nephew Allen Mitchell (Sonya), great nephew Blake and brother-in-law Ralph Mitchell. Predeceased by his parents Hilda and Leslie Brownlee, sister Marion and brother John.
Alan worked for INCO for 34 years. After retirement in 1999 he and Chris travelled the world trying never to visit the same place twice. Alan loved nature, bird watching, feeding chipmunks and fishing at their cottage on Manitoulin Island.
Family was very special to Alan. He loved his family dinners, celebrations and visits. He will be greatly missed at these gatherings.
A private family Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
Donations to the Maison McCulloch Hospice would be appreciated.
Our deepest condolences Chris and family. It was our pleasure having Al as our camp neighbour for many years. May he Rest In Peace. Our thoughts are with you all.
