(Sept. 1, 1950 - Aug 4, 2023)
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of a wonderful Mom, Grandma, Sister, and Auntie after a 10 year battle with cancer. Carmen will be remembered for her love of cooking, reading, knitting, sewing, numbers, referee, dog sitter, bowling coach, curling enthusiast and ultimate Blue Jays fan.
Family was her pride and joy. She worked tirelessly to raise her three boys and enjoyed her grandchildren to the fullest. She was proud of all their accomplishments.
Carmen was the second oldest daughter of Roger and Diane (Menard) Lalonde (predeceased). Loving mother to Michael (Sarah Armitage), Ryan (Nadine Tremblay) and Kevin. Precious Grandma to Zachary, Emma, Jaxon, Aubry and Ella, plus many more step-grandchildren and her favorite fur grand babies, Cooper and Stella. Devoted sister to Giselle (Dave Jones), Monique (predeceased), Alice (Murray Armstrong), Roger, Lise (Ian Worthington) and Louise (Paul McNab). She will be fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews.
Heartfelt thank you to Dr. Mahoney, Dr. Moskalyk, Dr. Cano, Dr. G, Dr. Linford, Dr. Walton and the caring staff at the Hospice for their dedication to our mom Carmen. Thank you also to all the staff at the Northeast Cancer Centre and Health Sciences North who had a part in Carmen’s care.
In memory of Carmen, donations to Maison McCulloch Hospice would be greatly appreciated. As per Carmen’s wishes, there will be no visitation or service. A private Celebration of Life will be arranged at a later date.
Our deepest sympathies to the family.
She was such a lovely lady.
Lucy Neeley and family.❤️
