It is with great sadness that I announce the passing of my close friend Conrad Hilton Church on December 20, 2024 after a long battle with cancer. Born to the late William and the late Helena Labrick. Conrad is survived by his sister Janice Labrick of Toronto. Sadly missed by his good friend Nelson Martin. A lifelong bachelor of 91 years, he was a former chemist and worked for many years as a quality control inspector for the Campbell Soup company. He later owned a taxi service in Toronto before retiring and moving to Capreol. Conrad was extremely well read and loved to have conversations on about almost any subject. He could recite Shakespeare and poetry from memory and had a great love for music and classic movies. Thank-you to the staff at St. Josephs Continuing Care, Maison McCulloch Hospice, and the Elizabeth Centre, who have helped care for Conrad for the past several years. It has been a long, difficult journey my friend, rest in peace. As per Conrad’s wishes there will be no visitation or service.
