CUIPER, Nellie (Buijs-Haans) - Born January 28, 1927 (Tilburg), died June 10, 2015 (Sudbury). It is with the greatest sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of our Mother at Health Sciences North after a short illness. She was predeceased by her loving husband Peter Haans (1928 - 1968). Nellie is survived by her three children, Wilma (Earl), Peter (Carrie), and David. She was also the very proud grandmother of two granddaughters, Lynsie and Dayna. Nellie worked as a volunteer at the St. Joseph's Health Centre for over 25 years and made many friends there. She often said it was the best job she ever had and she enjoyed every minute of it. She had the biggest smile for one and all and touched many lives there. As per her wishes, there will be no visitation. We wish to invite her friends to a Remembrance Celebration on Sunday June 28th, at the Fromagerie, 5 Cedar St., Sudbury, from 2 pm to 5 pm. In lieu of flowers, you may choose to make a donation to the Sisters of St. Joseph's, her partners in working at the St. Joseph's Health Centre.
