It is with deep sorrow that the family of Anne Marie Duguay announces her peaceful passing on Monday, January 29, 2024 at the age of 69, surrounded by her loving family at Maison McCulloch Hospice.
Survived by her best friend and husband Leo for 51 and ½ years. A devoted mother who took immense pride in her sons Ron, wife Natalie, Raymond, wife Melissa and Eric (wife Missy predeceased) Ashlee. Her greatest joy was seeing her grandchildren: Taylor (Dustin), Danielle (Jake), Aleksander, Nathan, Noah, and Keenan growing up. During her battle the bright spot was seeing her great grandchild Carter being born.
Predeceased by her father Wasyl Schmut, and mother Margaret (nee Nadjiwan}, sisters Linda (Gilles), Theresa (Terry) Mallette (James). Survived by her siblings Verna (Michael), Peter, Bill (Kathy), John, Richard and David. She also had many nieces and nephews. She will be missed by her laughing buddies, sisters-in-law Carmen Vaillant and Rachel Chiasson.
We would like to thank the doctors and staff from the Shirley and Jim Fielding Cancer Centre for the care given to her while she was battling cancer.
Finally, the staff and volunteers at the Maison McCulloch Hospice for their exceptional care and compassion they showed her in her final days.
A private Celebration of Life will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations in Anne’s memory can be made directly to the Maison McCulloch Hospice or the Shirley and Jim Fielding Cancer Centre would be greatly appreciated.
So sorry for your loss. My sincere condolences to you and your family.
