Dupuis, Daniel Armand

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Daniel Armand Dupuis, on Nov. 27, 2024, at the age of 63, at Health Sciences North.

Beloved Husband and Best Friend of 45yrs, to Susan Dupuis (nee McQueen).  Loving father to Stephan (Perise).  Cherished and adored grandfather to Reese, Riley, and Cole, and daughter-in-law Bobbi Gauthier.

Dan was born on June 26, 1961 to Fern Dupuis (predeceased) and his wife Estelle (Cayen).  He was the oldest of 5 children.  He is survived by his mother Estelle, brothers Gilles (Josee), Denis, Rick (Susan), and his sister Colette (Stuart).  They will all miss him dearly.

He will be sadly missed by his Father & Mother-In-Law, Tony & Betty McQueen, Brother-In-Law, Glen McQueen (Diane), and Sister-In-Law, Laurie (Michael).  His loss will be felt by many including his nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who knew him well.

Born and raised in Sudbury, Dan worked as a miner since he was 18, retiring from Glencore, at the age of 60.  We will all remember Dan for his unwavering work ethic.  He was so hard working, and his dedication to his trade inspired all who knew him. His favorite pastime was fishing, summer or winter he was always on the lake.

Dan’s family is sincerely grateful for all the staff at the Health Sciences North and will never be able to express their deep gratitude for the care and compassion of the 4th Floor, and ICU staff. As per Dan’s wishes, there will be no funeral or memorial service.  There will be a private Celebration of Life at a later date.  In lieu of flowers, donations in Dan’s memory can be made directly to the SPCA https://ontariospca.ca/sudbury.
