Flynn, Elaine

December 19, 2024 (64)

We are heartbroken and saddened by the unexpected but peaceful passing of Elaine Flynn in her sleep. Predeceased by her loving parents Yacker and Sue and her little brother Ricky. Survived by her sister Cheryl, brother- in- law Jamie, nephew and niece Ryan and Kayla, her son Shane, daughter- in- law Rebecca and her grandson Owen, who was the apple of her eye.

She was always a hard worker, putting in many many years at the Tim Horton’s chain. She loved chatting, sharing stories and showing off her Irish wit. On one occasion, she told us about one of her favorite customers who showed up for his usual double double. He was dressed from head to toe in his Montreal Canadiens attire during the playoff season. She handed him his coffee and said, “Let me guess, Toronto Maple Leafs?” There was heartfelt laughter shared between the two of them.

Elaine was an avid animal lover; in lieu of flowers we suggest donating to the Turtle Pond Wildlife Centre https://www.turtlepondwc.com/donate  (Val Caron On.) The dedicated hard workers and volunteers will sincerely appreciate the help.

Elaine, we miss you so much! We will miss our little family get togethers in which you would always treat us with your famous homemade lasagna and cheesecakes. Always Top Notch!!

Cremation has taken place. There will be no service.

  1. Hello Everyone,

I would just like to take the time to acknowledge everyone on here that took the time to put in a sympathy note, I have read them all, and it is nice to see that she was remembered well by all her friends, and relatives. Everyone that knew her, knew who she was, what she was about and the fun times and smiles she brought to peoples faces. From the bottom of my heart, thank you all.

Mom, I want to thank you for everything. Thank you for life, and thank you for everything that you taught me (cooking included), and most of all thank you for being the person I got to call Mom, that was my privilege alone. I love you very much, and I will see you again one day. All my love, Shane.

  5. Aunt Elaine, I have so many good memories of our time together. I remember in my young primary school years, you would sometimes babysit me and allow me to “play hooky”. We would then play the card game Fish, bake cookies and watch the Price is Right, so much fun! I will continue to keep my head up high and be strong just like you. Thanks for the laughter and for the to opportunity to have had you in my life.
    Your baby-girl Kayla 💕❤️💕

  21. We miss you ‘Aunt Laine’! Los Cabo’s karaoke will never be the same since you showed resilience over the boos and still took a bow. Thanks for all the classic memories that we continue to tap into for a good laugh. You will be missed.

  22. I had the pleasure of meeting Elaine through her nephew, Ryan. When I first met her, she welcomed me with open arms, and it truly felt like I had known her forever and was part of the family. She would always knew how to make someone laugh, and put a smile on their face if they were having a tough day. Her positive attitude and care for others will live on through those who were lucky enough to cross paths with her. Praying for her family to find the strength to get through these challenging times.
