It is with great sadness that the family of Jim Found announces his passing on Friday, August 13, 2021. Jim was 87 and suffering from heart related trouble. He is survived by his dear wife of 62 years, his daughter, and son, 6 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Jim had many friends from all walks of life. Throughout his life, Jim has been our “Mr. Fix It”. From his days of racing at the hurricane speedway, to the slowest tractor race at the St. Germain Farm Museum, or broken down on the highway, Jim was always there to give a helping hand. Besides his family, he was involved in farming, politics and the restoration of Classic Cars and Trucks. It was not uncommon to see a Ford piston installed in a Chevrolet engine, Jim’s motto “As long as it runs.” Jim dabbled in vegetable and beef farming over the years, and his many friends were the recipients of many vegetables especially the Valley East Food Bank. We will all miss his generosity, his knowledge, his smile, and his friendship. Jim was born July 5, 1934 and will be laid to rest at his family plot in Cannington, ON at a later date. When he arrived at the pearly gates of heaven, he noticed they needed some adjustment and a little squirt of oil and repaired it for the rest of us. Rest in Peace, Jim.
