It is with great sadness that the family of Anneli Hautala (nee Kaakinen) announce her passing on Wednesday, June 15th, 2022, at the age of 78, in Health Sciences North, Sudbury, ON.
She will be lovingly remembered by her husband Raimo of 54 years, son Mikko, daughter Mia and her husband Ken, daughter Maarit and her husband Neal, and her granddaughters Suvi and Emma.
There are many relatives and friends in Canada and Finland that will also remember Anneli’s smile and kindness fondly.
Anneli lived her life as a skilled hairdresser, knitter, pulla baker and her granddaughters would even say that she made the best ever porridge and blueberry pie. Anneli loved a good road trip, a cup of coffee with friends, going to Siion Pentecostal Church to hear the word of God, and spending time at the camp in the sauna and lake.
There will be a Celebration of Anneli’s Life on Saturday, July 2, 2022 at the Finnish Siion Pentecostal Church (1843 Paris St., Sudbury, ON.) at 2:00 p.m.
Donations can be made in Anneli’s memory to either the Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation, Toronto, Northeast Cancer Centre, Sudbury, or the Finnish Siion Pentecostal Church in Sudbury. All of these places took great care of Anneli in her time.
Our sincere condolences to you Raimo and your family on the loss of a wonderful woman. Mom always enjoyed Anneli’s company.
Jack and Irma.
