(1942 - 2025)
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Marguerite Bissonnette, age 82, on March 13, 2025, at Maison McCulloch Hospice in Sudbury, Ontario.
Marguerite was married to her late husband, Lionel Bissonnette, for 55 years, until his passing in 2019. Together, they shared a life full of love, joy, and cherished memories. Marguerite is survived by her daughter, Christina (Steve), her grandchildren, Ricky (Katrina) and Jess (Jordan), and her great-granddaughter, Brooklyn, all of whom she adored.
Marguerite’s love extended far beyond her immediate family. As one of the eldest in her family, she played a significant role in raising many of her younger siblings. Her nurturing spirit, guidance, and support shaped their lives, and they will forever be grateful for the love and care she gave them.
For many years, Marguerite shared countless Tuesday nights bowling with her loving husband Lionel and dear friend Marcel Chretien at Notre Dame Bowl, where she enjoyed both the friendly competition and the camaraderie of their league.
When she wasn't knocking down pins, Marguerite could often be found alongside her best friend Pauline Deschamps (predeceased) at the Donovan Beauty Salon, where she loved to catch up with friends and exchange the latest gossip. It was here, over warm cups of coffee and lively conversations that she made connections that lasted a lifetime.
The family would like to express their sincerest gratitude to the staff at Maison McCulloch Hospice for being so caring and thoughtful during this time. A special thank you to Dr. Natasha St. Onge and Dr. Eddin for being so thorough and caring as well as a thank you to Jennifer and Chantal from Bayshore. Their compassion, kindness, and professionalism provided comfort to both Marguerite and the family during this difficult time.
While Marguerite’s passing leaves a deep void, we would like to offer a heartfelt thank you to Sandra Rysdale. Sandra stepped in with grace, providing comfort, care, and love, and for that, we are deeply grateful. Your presence was a true blessing, and we will never forget the kindness you showed during such a difficult time.
As per Marguerite’s wishes, there will be no funeral service.
She will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
She lived a great life and was loved by all who knew her. She will be missed by all….
