It is with great sadness and in the company of his loving family, Peter Kann, 86 years passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 13, 2022 at Pioneer Manor in Sudbury, Ontario. Peter was born in Tallinn, Estonia to Johannes and Amanda (nee Pauklin) Kann. Following some time residing in Sweden, together with brother Arne, Peter and Amanda emigrated to Canada in the 1940’s, settling in Hamilton, ON. He worked as an Analytical Chemist for Dow Chemical Ltd in Sarnia, Ontario for over 30 years. Peter fondly remembered his time spent at his home of 46 years in Camlachie, Ontario, along with his many feline friends. He will be deeply missed by his sons Glen (Kathy) of Wanup, Ontario and Greg (Elizabeth) and his granddaughters Madeline, Audrey and Violet of Walnut Grove, California. He is predeceased by his brother Arne of Toronto, ON. Respecting his wishes there will be no visitation or services. Donations in Peter’s memory can be made directly to the Glaucoma Research Society of Canada, or the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada.
