Labranche, Eugene “Pepper”

It is with heavy hearts that the family announces the passing of Eugene Labranche “Pepper”, on Sunday, July 24, 2022, at Extendicare York at the age of 71 yrs.  Born in Sudbury to the late Lucien and the late Theresa Labranche (née Paradis). Beloved partner of Debbie Blair. Loving father of Mark (Glynnis), Tammy (Steve), Kathy-predeceased (Mike), Debbie (Roger Vaillancourt), Foster (Tracey) and Sheri Kirkey (Travis). Pepper will be missed by his many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Survived by his siblings Paulette Chartrand, Rhéal Labranche (Piette), Cécile Murray (Gaby), Carol Adams, Mary Beth Roy (Rick- predeceased), Gilberte Labranche, Jeanette St Martin (Guy) and Luke Labranche (Kim).  Sadly, missed by many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

Eugene was born in Sudbury and raised in Azilda.  He shared 37 wonderful years with his longtime partner Debbie.  He worked for Falconbridge for 30 yrs and retired in 2005. Eugene had a nickname many will remember him by “Pepper”. He loved to fish, watch wrestling and spending time with family and friends.  Gene will be missed by many who knew him. As per his wishes there will be no visitation or service.  A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
