It is with great sorrow and heavy hearts that the family announces the passing of Doreen Larocque (nee LeClair), 71 years on Thursday, July 21, 2016 at Health Sciences North. Beloved wife of 47 years to Edmond Larocque. Loving mother of Joseph “Joe” (Charlyse), Joyce Nevins (Carl) and step-mother of Helene Roth (Duncan). Cherished grandmother of Morgan Larocque. Born in Espanola, she was the daughter of the late William “Bill” and Josephine (Griffin) LeClair. Dear sister of Marie Houle (predeceased), Rita Gignac (Ignatius) (both predeceased), Nora Longbottom (Andy predeceased), Art (Joan) (both predeceased), Joseph “Joe” (predeceased), John (predeceased), Wilfred (predeceased) (Shirley) and Donny (predeceased) (Lucette). Sadly missed by many nieces and nephews. Doreen’s focus and greatest pleasures in life came from spending time with family and friends. She will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her. The Larocque family would like to thank Dr. Olivier and Dr. Young for their excellent care and the ladies at St-Stephen’s United Church in Chelmsford for all their kindness. As well a special thank you to Gilles and Diane for all your help. A Memorial Service will be celebrated at St-Stephen’s United Church, 136 Charlotte Ave, Chelmsford on Saturday, July 30, 2016 at 11 a.m.
To the Larocque Family, I am very sorry to hear about Doreen. She fought a very brave battle. Always seemed to be strong and trying to get better. My thoughts and prayers go out to all the family. Sincerely, Lois
