Martineau, Annette October 16, 1927 – May 19, 2021

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the peaceful passing of Annette Marcelle Martineau (nee Vandette) on Wednesday, May 19, 2021 at Health Sciences North in her 94^th year. She will rejoin her husband of 70 years, Fernand who passed away last summer. Annette was the cherished mother of Gérald (Lennie), Carole (Mike) and Roger her dutiful primary caregiver. Loving grandmother of Renée, Kevin, Owen, and great grandmother of Ro and Madeleine. Beloved sister-in-law of Rita Martineau of Montreal. Annette was the last remaining sibling of Claude, Lornie, Jeannette, Shirley, and Carmen whom she all greatly missed in her final years. She was a wonderful older sister and a source of strength to them. Annette was a caring daughter to Hermose and Carmel Vandette (nee St.Louis). After the death of her father she invited her mother to share a home with us. Annette was born in Hearst, ON where she met Fernand on the neighbouring farm. After marriage, they moved to Sudbury to raise their family. Mom was a terrific homemaker, she had an endless supply of cakes, pies and delicious meals and the cookie jar was always full. Mom was an avid volunteer at Saint-Jean-de-Brébeuf church where she was part of a team of dedicated cooks who prepared the meals for the funeral services and the church teas. She was also an excellent seamstress and knitter. She spent many happy years meeting friends at le Centre de Santé Communautaire. Condolences can be sent to the home address.
