In loving memory of Gerard Martineau, 74 years, who passed away on Thursday, June 23, 2016 at his home in Sturgeon Falls. Predeceased by his wife Rose-Anne Martineau. Friend to Lorraine Labelle. Loving father of Michel (Mylene Labreche) of Garson and Sylvie Martin (Peter) of Wahnapitae. Gerard will be greatly missed by his grandchildren, Celine (Eric Robert), Julie, Valerie and Zachary and his great-grandchild Kane. Predeceased by his parents Almanzor and Anne-Marie (Rivard) Martineau. Dear brother of Francoise (Lucien Demeule), Jeanne-Mance (Yves Demeule), Louise, Gilbert (Louise Fournier), Louis, Bertrand, Ghislain, Omer and predeceased by Andre, Lionel and Gaetan. Special uncle to several nieces and nephews. Gerard was born and raised in Albertville, QC. He married Rose-Anne in Amqui, QC in 1966 and together they moved to Sudbury, ON in 1969 where he worked in the mines for 30+ years before retiring January 1, 2003. His main priority was his family and loved spending time with his grandchildren. In his younger years he enjoyed camping, fishing, and in later years he loved his winters in Florida and his coffee date every night with his friend Claude.
