Mayotte, Barbara “ Barb”

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Barbara “Barb” Mayotte on August 28th, 2022, at Health Sciences North after a fierce battle with illness. Barb was born on March 15th, 1955. Loving and devoted wife of Rick Mayotte, adored mother to Ritchie (Christine), Michelle and Marc (Rachel). Dear grandma of Ryan (Mary), Emily, Remy and Marshall, and great grandmother to Elijah and Lillian. 

Daughter of the late Lens and Leita Rose. Predeceased by sister Olive Hannah (Melvin) and brother Erle “Sandy” Rose (Beverly). She will be sadly missed by sisters Iva Rainville (Gas predeceased), Lenita Newman (Perry) and Cindy Groulx. Barb was born in Capreol and lived there most of her life, where she and Rick raised their family. She was a dedicated wife and mother who was a big supporter of her children’s dreams. She enjoyed motorcycle rides, winters in Florida, camping and spending time with friends at the trailer on Manitoulin Island. Full of life, Barb’s kindness touched everyone she knew, always caring for and nurturing others before herself.
