With heavy hearts we share the passing of Judith (Judy) Ann McConnell at the age of 81, on March 14th 2025 at Health Sciences North.
Judy left the world peacefully, surrounded by her family. She was the heart of our family and will leave a void that cannot be filled. She guided us all with unconditional love, unlimited support, and incredible wisdom. Judy was deeply devoted to her friends she made in her lifetime. Judy always wanted to end their phone calls on a laugh.
Judy was born May 5th 1943 in Hamilton On. to Olive and Robert Roy Eden. Judy moved to Sudbury and married the late Gordon McConnell. Judy is survived by her children Charles (Jackie), Donald (Leila), Mary-Ellen (Elly) (Joseph), and Jennifer (Derek). She was a cherished grandmother to Jason, Kary Ann, Andrew, Scott, Charlotte, Megan ,Malory, Carley, Adam, Alex, Dylan, and Emily. Judy also enjoyed her great-grandchildren, Zachary, Grayson, Jack, Abigail, Maverick, Mason, Hailey, Bella, Max, Gavin, Brooks, and Olivia.
We would like to thank Dr. Creighton and Dr. Addison and their medical team for their care and compassion. Special thank you to Tamara and Norm at Casa Bella.
A celebration of life will be held at the Lockerby Legion, 2200 Long Lake Road on Sunday April 6th between 1pm and 5pm. In lieu of flowers, a donation to the SPCA would be appreciated.
