Brave, selfless and strong. Janet Kathryn Morrison B.A., 13 Oct 1933 - 11 Sept 2015
Surrounded by love and family, Janet made the hard call and chose to say farewell and ease her discomfort. She was a joyful woman who shared her gifted voice daily for many decades with those around her and in theatre and choirs. Completely in love with her husband of over 62 years, Jan was dearly loved by Basil and loved by all who knew her. Clever, quick, gentle and witty, Mom was always looking to make people laugh. She was joking with the doctors and nurses and family right to the very end. We laughed through our tears many times that day.
Janet taught at Cambrian College for several years and to students who openly adored her.
Janet was predeceased by all her siblings Bob, Jim and Don Eadie.
Devoted to her family, Janet loved to see us together. Always stimulating discussion with interesting topics or telling jokes, the supper table was something to look forward to. Survived by husband Basil, sons Jeff and Craig Morrison, grandsons Brock, Eric, Logan and Jesse Morrison and step grandchildren Craig and Sarah Green.
A memorial gathering will be held on Tuesday, September 29 at 6:30 p.m., at the Lockerby Legion Branch 564, 2200 Long Lake Road.
Sorry to hear the news. We all had a great time in the Brockville Operatic Society, all those many years ago.. Wonderful memories. Janet was always the life of the gatherings.
