Mousseau, Jeannette

If you are reading this, I’m in my peaceful place.”

It’s with incredible sadness that our family announces the passing of Jeannette Mousseau, 68 years young, on December 29th at 8:58p.m. She faced her cancer with the most warrior strength and death with grace. She is now reunited with her fiancé, Max, who left us in 2021. She was a mom, a friend, a sister and an addiction counselor. She touched the hearts and lives of many. She leaves behind a legacy to her daughter, Amy (James), to continue her acts of kindness and love. Her sister Theresa was also at her bedside until the end. Her six remaining siblings are left to grieve their baby sister. She will be remembered at the YMCA as a little “powerhouse", TRX instructor and by the many friends she had over the years. A special thanks to her sidekick and dedicated friend, Faye, who did mom's Costco runs and spent everyday checking in, thank you. Mom also cherished and appreciated Lynn and Len, and their many years of friendship. Mom would also want to send her thank you and love to Max’s sisters, Faye and Rhoda; she appreciated their friendship and travels to Newfoundland.

Mom is forever grateful for the care from Bayshore, most especially Erika, her amazing and caring nurse. In addition, a special thank you to her pharmacist, Kathy Jarvis; this could've never happened without her love, dedication and support. Mom was eternally grateful. Also, mom had her special Angels from the hospice, in particular, Julie, Morgan, Joseé Ann, Riva, Brooke, Bree, Lyle and Tammy (Mom's PSW and angel). Also, the volunteers, kitchen staff (Natalie), doctors, will all have a special place in my heart. Maison McCulloch Hospice went above and beyond for mom, myself and family, and we are forever grateful! The care was absolutely amazing. Thank you!

As per mom's request, there will be no funeral. A Celebration of Jeannette’s Life will take place at a later date. Donations to Maison McCulloch Hospice in Jeannette’s honor would be greatly appreciated.
