In Loving Memory of Raymond “Mummy” Muise, in his 92nd year, who passed away peacefully on Friday, August 24, 2018. Beloved husband of 67 years to Evangeline (nee Comeau) Muise. Loving father of Gary, David (predeceased) and Peter (Madeleine). Cherished grandfather of Melanie (Jeffrey), Karen (David), Jeffrey, Scott, Matthew and great grandfather of Ceilidh, Olivia and Hanna. Predeceased by his siblings Paul, Joseph (Eli), Arthur and Marie. He will be greatly missed by many nieces, nephews and friends from both Belleville, NS and Coniston, ON. Born and raised in Belleville, NS, Mummy became known for his good pitching skills in baseball in Nova Scotia. Ray received a phone call from the Coniston Red Sox and was off like a shot. Mummy enjoyed many years with the team in all aspects. Working for INCO from 1951 to 1984, he retired and spent the next 34 years enjoying his hobbies which included baseball, hunting, fishing and gardening. Ray was active in his community for many years as a volunteer with the Sudbury Regional Police “Storefront” service assisting citizens’ in need. He appreciated his community and the people in it. Ray always had a smile and a joke to share in his many walks about in town, whether he was alone or walking with his brother Paul. We are grateful for all the memories he planted in his garden for us that continue to grow. In keeping with Raymond and Evangeline’s request, there will be no visitation or services.
I am so sorry to hear of the passing of your husband, father, grandfather and your great grandfather. My thoughts ,prayers and condolences go out to the family.
