In loving memory of Mario Pen, 71 years who passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 31, 2016 at Maison Vale Hospice. Beloved husband to Shelby (Salewski), and a great father to son Elliott and wife Lucija. Remembered fondly by close friend and brother in-law Stan Salewski (Shirley) with whom he shared many philosophies and stories throughout their friendship. Son of Angelo (predeceased) and Elisa (Ronconi) of Sudbury, Mario is survived by sisters Grace Pen of St. Thomas and Sylvana Lagrove (Jacques) of Sudbury. Brother in-law to Paul Salewski (Bernadette), Darlene Salewski, Katherine Poulin (predeceased; Norman predeceased), Debbie Lake (Gerald), Jaye Bishop (Addison), Craig Salewski (Paulette), Cheryl Belanger, Richard Salewski, and Karen Paquette. Also an uncle to countless nieces and nephews. Mario’s friends and family will remember him for his loyalty and steadfastness through all situations. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. William McMullen who aided in ensuring Mario’s well-being and comfort in his final days. Thank you also to the staff at Maison Vale Hospice for all the kindness and special care given to Mario. In keeping with Mario’s wishes, there will be no visitation or service. In lieu of flowers, donations directed to Maison Vale Hospice would be appreciated.
